Ryan Day’s Debut Worship Album, The Sending, Out Now!
Based on John 20:21 when Jesus says, “As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you,” the album explores the concept of ‘sentness’ being a vital part of Christian life and worship. The project encapsulates what Ryan describes as three ‘movements’ – Invitation, Transformation and Participation.
- The first movement, Incarnation, celebrates and remembers that God sent his Son Jesus Christ and that through Him all people are invited back into relationship with God.
- The second movement, Transformation, reflects what happens within us when we recognise and confess that Jesus is Lord and decide to follow Him. The Holy Spirit (who has also been sent to us) works in our hearts, renewing and transforming those who believe in the likeness of Christ.
- The third movement, Participation, describes how all of God’s children are called and sent by God to go and share His love with the world through word and deed, in every sphere of life. This movement is about declaring our allegiance to Christ, our commitment to following Him in the world.
The Sending takes the listener on a journey of worship and praise that incorporates some of the big ideas of worship: that worship is more than singing songs, but that worship is an all-of-life response that involves calling, connecting and commissioning.
The Sending is available now on iTunes and all good digital music stores.
